Marriage Mistakes of Couples

After the wedding, the couple lives happily ever after. Well that’s not really the thing that happens to all couples out there. You will find couples who are married for a number of years or sometimes just months but ended up getting a divorce.

All About WeddingYou can easily file for divorce if you no longer trust your partner or things do not work out anymore. But what are the reasons behind the divorce of marriages? It is definitely the choices and the mistakes that the couple make. In a survey, over fifty percent of the marriages in the US end in divorce.

If you do not want your wedding to end in a divorce, you should think about these top marriage mistakes that will lead to divorce.

  1. Lying – for many individuals, this is the root of all evil in their relationship. The problem here is that people in relationships have different meanings of what dishonesty is. Some believes that dishonesty does not include when they speak of things they know are not true. Others consider a statement a lie when it is misleading from the truth, like omitting particular details. Many people say that their relationship with their partner isn’t happy or healthy if they are lying to each other. You should consider about sharing the truth to your partner because he/she might be one of the people who doesn’t want to maintain a married relationship if their trust is abused or broken.
  2. Cheating – you can ask those who have just been through a divorce and this probably tops the reason why their marriage ended. While there are people who are willing to work through infidelity, you must not presume that your partner will do the same. If your partner catches you cheating on him/her, he/she will leave you definitely. It will be unfair and difficult for your partner to restore the trust given to you. One will probably show repentance but the other will always feel betrayed. If the relationship does not work out, it often crumbles and leading to divorce.
  3. Mistreatment – this is a common nowadays, especially among women. You are not alone if you are suffering from physical or sexual mistreatment from your spouse. Many men or women would call the marriage over once they experienced abuse from their spouses. You are probably one of the few people who would still stay in a physically or sexually abusive relationship. However, it isn’t a healthy marriage relationship that you are sharing with your partner. Do you think about your kids, if you have any?
